Commissions

I’d love to get in touch with you if you’re interested in commissioning me to stitch or design a cross stitch for you! I can stitch existing patterns from my shop, design a pattern for you from scratch, or create a pattern based on your Twitch emotes.

For commissions, I can stitch any of my own patterns, design a pattern from scratch, or create a pattern for you based on artwork you have rights to, like a Twitch emote. Unfortunately, I cannot create a cross stitch for you using someone else’s pattern or artwork.

The only exception to this rule is if you want me to create a gift for the artist themselves. If this is the case, please contact me directly to see whether this is something I am able to accept.

If I’m designing a pattern for you, I will not create anything that is discriminatory, offensive, or overly explicit. Curse words are fine; slurs are not. If you have questions about whether I’ll be able to stitch something for you, please contact me directly.

Send me an email at stitchbound@gmail.com if you need to cancel your commission as soon as possible. If I haven’t started work on your piece yet, you will receive a full refund. If I’ve completed some part of your commission, I will issue a partial refund determined by the amount of time spent on the project when I receive notice of your cancellation. I reserve the right to cancel your commission at my own discretion if I deem it necessary.

pricing

If you haven’t commissioned a piece of handmade art before, my pricing structure might seem steep. Cross stitching a piece takes a lot of time and patience, and these costs help keep Stitchbound going! Plus, you’ll be receiving a one-of-a-kind piece of art and supporting a small business in the process. Check the Commissions FAQ page for more information about my pricing structure.

• $25 base fee; used for material costs and to cover the minimum amount of time spent stitching your piece

• + $0.04 per stitch; see individual listings for existing patterns’ stitch counts

• + $10 - $25+ for finishing method:

  • $10: mounted in embroidery hoop with felt backing; approx. 1 hour process

  • $25: felt backing and embroidered border as an iron-on patch or with bar pin; approx. 3 hour process

  • $15+: framed stitch; $15 dollar framing fee plus cost of frame

• + $20 design fee for new patterns; covers time spent turning images into cross-stitch pattern

• + Cost of shipping; United States and Canada only at this time

Fill out the form below with your request to get started with your commission! Once I’ve received your form, I’ll email you with confirmation of your piece details and a price quote for your request. If I’m designing a piece for you, I’ll take some time to convert your emote into a pattern and send it to you for your approval.

After payment is received, I’ll put you into the commissions queue and begin stitching your piece! I only accept a handful of commissions at a time, but once I begin working on your cross stitch, it will take 1-3 weeks to complete.
